- Question
Identification of factors associated with suicide:- What factors are associated with suicide attempts and completed suicides?
- Any explanatory notes
(if applicable) Why this is important:- There is high prevalence of suicide attempts among people in contact with the criminal justice system. When developing interventions to prevent self-harm among these populations, it is important to identify and understand the factors related to successful suicide. A retrospective analysis of observational studies of suicidal attempts and completed suicides using suicide as a definitive and measurable outcome should be performed to identify the prognostic factors for successful prevention.
