The antimicrobials evaluation committee has been convened to test a new health technology evaluation process on 2 antimicrobial drugs. The independent committee will consider the evidence and make a judgement on the value of the drugs to the NHS.

The indicator advisory committee develops indicators that are suitable for potential inclusion in the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and the Clinical Commissioning Group Outcome Indicator Set (CCG OIS). NICE indicators can also be used by other stakeholders for other national or local quality improvement initiatives.

They identify and select innovative medical technologies and route these products to the appropriate guidance production programme. The committee also develops recommendations to be issued as medical technologies guidance.

Public health advisory committees are the standing committees responsible for the development of our public health guidance. 

Guidance topics are allocated to a committee following referral from the Department of Health. The committee considers the evidence and makes recommendations for people working in the NHS, local government and in the wider public, private and voluntary sectors.
