Minor changes since publication

September 2022: Changes were made to the sections on what the quality statement means for different audiences and the definition of 'evidence of sickness absence' in statements 2 and 3 to reflect the Department for Work and Pensions amended legislation to enable nurses, occupational therapists, pharmacists and physiotherapists to certify fit notes in addition to doctors.
