NICE has updated its guidance on Prophylaxis against infective endocarditis for use in the NHS in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, following the publication of new research at the AHA meeting in Chicago on 18 November 2014 showing an increase in the incidence of infective endocarditis in the UK.
