Low-energy contact X-ray brachytherapy (the Papillon technique) for early-stage rectal cancer: consultation
The Interventional Procedures Advisory Committee (IPAC) has considered the evidence, specialist advice and (where available) patient commentary on this procedure, and NICE has issued a consultation document about its safety and efficacy.
The consultation period for this procedure closed on 28 of April 2015 at 5pm.
IPAC will review the consultation comments and any available new evidence, to produce a Final Interventional Procedures Document. After this is approved for publication by NICE, it will undergo a resolution period before guidance is issued to the NHS in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
