XprESS multi sinus dilation system for treating chronic sinusitis

NICE has assessed the XprESS multi-sinus dilation system for treating chronic sinusitis to help the NHS decide whether to use this product.

XprESS uses a special balloon which is inserted through the nose and inflated, helping to widen the sinuses and relieve some symptoms of sinusitits.

XprESS works as well as surgery. It may be an option for you if you have chronic sinusitis that has gotten worse despite drug treatment.

XprESS may be particularly beneficial if you have uncomplicated chronic sinusitis, because it can be done using local anaesthetic more often and may allow you to recover faster than surgery.
