NICE has assessed Episcissors-60 for mediolateral episiotomy to help the NHS decide whether to use this product.
Episcissors-60 are designed to reduce injuries to the anus in women who need episiotomies during childbirth.
They show promise but there’s not enough evidence to recommend them yet. NICE has recommended that further research should be done.
