NICE has said DyeVert Systems show potential but there’s not enough evidence to be able to recommend that they’re used in the NHS. So NICE has recommended that further research should be done.
Greater amounts of contrast (dye) are a risk factor for acute kidney injury during angiography. Other factors can also increase the risk, which makes the cause of it complex.
DyeVert aims to reduce the risk of acute kidney injury by reducing the amount of contrast injected into blood vessels during the procedure.
