NICE has assessed 3C Patch for treating diabetic foot ulcers to help the NHS decide whether to use this product.
3C Patch uses a person’s own blood to create a biological patch that promotes wound healing. There is evidence that 3C Patch does help wounds to heal but it is unlikely to lead to cost savings, so NICE could not recommend its use in the NHS.
