NICE has said Uroshield shows potential but there’s not enough evidence to be able to recommend that it’s used in the NHS. So NICE has recommended that further research should be done.
UroShield aims to prevent urinary tract infections in people who use a urinary catheter. The device generates ultrasonic waves, which the company says prevents bacteria sticking to the surface of the catheter.
