Background information
How to comment
This consultation is using our new online commenting software. This means that we are not accepting responses on a Word form sent by email.
To leave a response you must sign in to your NICE account. If you don’t already have a NICE account, you can create one.
Once you’ve signed in, you can see the questions we want you to answer by clicking on the ‘Open questions’ tab. You can then leave your answers by typing into the comment boxes. You must save each answer by clicking the ‘Save answer’ button under the comment box. If you want to edit your answer, you can just type straight into the box. You can also leave comments on the draft quality standard and the equality impact assessment.
Once you’ve saved your answers and comments, you should review them before submitting your response. There is a link to the review page at the top of the questions panel. When you’re happy with your answers, answer the questions at the bottom of the review page and click the ‘Submit my response’ button.

Stakeholder organisations
If you’re commenting for an organisation, your organisation needs to be registered as a stakeholder before we can accept comments.
Not eligible to be a stakeholder? Contact the stakeholder organisation that most closely represents your interests and pass your comments to them.
Individuals
Comments received from individuals are not summarised in the briefing paper presented to the committee but are included as an appendix. These comments are not made available on the NICE website.

Do you have an example from practice of implementing the NICE guideline(s) that underpins this quality standard? If so, please submit your example to NICE local practice case studies on the NICE website. Examples of using NICE quality standards can also be submitted.
