Review of NICE Technology Appraisal Guidance No.165; Machine perfusion systems and cold static storage of kidneys from deceased donors

The Institute was proposing that the existing guidance should be placed on the static list.

During consultation it was highlighted to us that the proposal might not be the best way to proceed with the review. A summary of the responses from this consultation are attached at appendix A. After consideration of all these comments, the Institute’s Guidance Executive has decided to recommend that the decision to review the guidance should be deferred until the results of the Machine Preservation Trial are published.
