Venous thromboembolism - apixaban (hip and knee surgery): review decision March 2015

Review of NICE Technology Appraisal Guidance No. 245; Apixaban for the prevention of venous thromboembolic events in the knee and hip.

The Institute was proposing that the guidance should be moved to the ‘static guidance list’.

After consideration of all of the comments received during the Review Consultation, the Technology Appraisals programme has decided to proceed with this proposal.

TA245 will therefore move to the ‘static guidance list’. Topics on the static list can be considered for review if any new evidence becomes available that is likely to lead to a change in the existing recommendations.
