Human growth hormone appeal panel decision
The Appeal Panel convened a hearing on 20 August 2002 to consider appeals made against the Final Appraisal Determination (FAD) of the Appraisal Committee on the use of human growth hormone (somatropin) in adults with growth hormone deficiency.
In upholding particular aspects of the appeals, the Appeal Panel has asked the Guidance Executive to arrange for further specific work to be undertaken in association with consultees and for the topic to be referred back to the Appraisal Committee. It is planned that the topic will be discussed at a meeting of the Appraisal Committee on 23 January 2003.
