NICE is committed to promoting equality of opportunity, eliminating unlawful discrimination and fostering good relations between people with particular protected characteristics and others.
NATROX should not be used to treat malignant tissue. Someone with cancer is legally considered to be disabled and is protected under the 2010 Equalities Act.
NATROX is intended for use in people with non-healing wounds. Elderly people, people with heart conditions, and people with diabetes are at an increased risk of non-healing wounds and may benefit from this technology. In some cases, diabetes and heart conditions can be considered a disability. Age and disability are protected characteristics under the 2010 Equalities Act.
