Comments across all equality strands | For all groups, LSA aims to assess claims of benefits for a category of products already available in the NHS. In that sense it will not impact access to the treatment but may affect the choice of products available. This will include capturing the product features most relevant to patients and healthcare providers and evaluating how they impact clinical and non-clinical outcomes and user preferences. | NICE is committed to advancing equality of opportunity, eliminating unlawful discrimination and fostering good relations between people with protected characteristics and society as a whole, and to complying with its legal obligations on equality and human rights. NICE's equality scheme describes how NICE meets these commitments and obligations. LSA will be subject to an equality and health inequalities assessment process as specified in the NICE health technologies manual and so specific equalities issues will be considered for every topic assessed. The Equality and Impact Assessment will be published along the rest of the guidance documents. |
