Appendix 1 – Framework development process

COVID -19 process

The process to develop this framework largely followed the process developed for NICE's COVID-19 rapid guidance development.

The literature review is detailed in Appendix 2.

Peer and patient review

Drafts of the framework were reviewed by the oversight and delivery groups, and a targeted consultation took place with members of the NICE shared decision making collaborative and other key experts in the field.
