Olipudase alfa for treating acid sphingomyelinase deficiency (Niemann–Pick disease) type AB and type B

Olipudase alfa (Xenpozyme) is not normally available on the NHS for treating acid sphingomyelinase deficiency (ASMD, also called Niemann–Pick disease) in adults with type‑AB or type‑B ASMD. Your doctor should talk with you about other treatment options. If you are already taking it, you should be able to continue until you and your doctor decide when best to stop.
