Information for the public
Cabozantinib (Cabometyx) is not normally available on the NHS for treating advanced differentiated thyroid cancer in adults when:
- the cancer has got worse after systemic treatment (treatments that work throughout the whole body), and
- radioactive iodine is unsuitable, or the cancer does not respond to it.
Your doctor should talk with you about other treatment options. If you are already having it, you should be able to continue until you and your doctor decide when best to stop.
