NICE indicator process guide

This guide describes the process NICE uses to develop indicators from NICE quality standards, NICE guidance and NICE accredited sources.

We updated this guide to expand the summary of the information that may be presented at publication in section 3.6. We updated section 6.1 to reflect the current approach of observing committees online. We updated appendix B to expand on the criteria for assessing the validity of indicator specification. We also updated hyperlinks and removed outdated references to organisations and performance frameworks.
