Interim process and methods statement for bringing together NICE guidance

Introduction

Our core purpose is to help practitioners and commissioners get the best care to patients fast, while ensuring value for the taxpayer. Since 1999, we have played a key role in using the best available evidence to develop recommendations that guide decisions in health, public health and social care. This work is guided by our charter and our principles.

To support the changing needs and objectives of all parts of the health and care system, we are transforming to ensure our guidance remains relevant, timely, useable and has a demonstrable impact on health and care. To achieve these aims, the process and methods that underpin our guidance need to evolve.
