Metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) is a tumour arising from the lining of the large intestine (colon and rectum) that has spread beyond the large intestine, most often to the liver, lung or peritoneum. The clinical experts confirmed statements from patient experts, which noted that mCRC has a life-changing impact on people diagnosed and that there are limited treatment options that prolong survival. So, there is an unmet need for new treatments that are effective for this population. The committee agreed that there is an unmet need for people with mCRC.
